Ten Minutes at a Time

Break your day up in the small chunks. Plan to stay sober by praying away the lust for only a 10 or 15 minute period of time. Don't look at the whole day before you — and never say to yourself, or anyone else, that you going to be sexually sober the rest of your life. Just take it 10 or 15 minutes at a time.

You know you can pray away lust for ten minutes, and then you'll be surprised that you haven't thought about lust for perhaps a half-hour, or even a whole hour. Surprisingly as you keep praying away the lust every ten minutes, you'll find yourself making it safely through the day without sexually acting out — or even indulging in fantasy.
