Should I Confront My Mate?

During the heat of an argument, or during the explosive part of a Midlife Crisis is not the time to confront your mate. This is the time to let the dust settle. During the shock stage of feeling abandoned, your confrontation will most likely be overreaction. If you overreact, you won’t bring healing, you’ll just be throwing dust into the air.

For now, keep your conversations with your mate focused on the family needs and the fact that you still love him or her. Later you’ll be able to talk rationally about this problem and to confront them directly about the bad choice they have made by leaving you and the family.
