No. All people--men and women--go through a distinct transition as they move from young adulthood to midlife. But they don't all have a crisis. Only about 60 to 80 percent of them do (counting both men and women). Our studies, along with those of other researchers, show that at least 75% of people between ages 35-55 will go through a moderate to severe crisis.
