We are in touch with hundreds of midlife couples whose marriages are in trouble.
Some of them, unfortunately, have been told by friends, counselors or pastors that they might as well just give up. You or your spouse may be going through a midlife crisis, everything may seem unstable and stressful, and your relationship may not be as meaningful as earlier--but don’t opt for a divorce.
Many midlife divorces are unnecessary. Spouses give up on each other and themselves too quickly. If you will hang on a little longer and do some learning and growing, probably you will make it through this difficult time. But don't just suffer and struggle. Take specific actions that will change your marriage from being a depressive relationship to being a real source of strength.
