Q. Can you explain redemption?

A. Redemption is a transforming word. Bottles and cans have a redemption charge because when they are empty, we crush them and then use them to make something else. I grew up with a controlling, paranoid mom. Out of fear, she lectured for hours and hours and hours. It was not uncommon for me to have to listen to her for 2 or 3 hours at a time. I hated it and still react to the anger in others but God used that experience to help me listen to others. He took something that was painful and used/redeemed it to bring help to others. My mom is still a mess but others have benefited from God's grace in my life.
