Q. I see my husband once a week when he comes to mow my lawn, but I’m at a loss of what to talk to him about? My husband has no interest in my life, he proved that to me before he left.

A.   Look for things to say that are affirming, talk about the new stuff that you're doing - motorcycle lessons, go cart driving, sky diving, computer classes , singing in the opera, etc. etc. Also, you can always share stuff about kids, friends, or families. If you notice he is not showing interest, it’s probably because he is afraid that will give you too much hope. But, be assured, he takes notice and thinks about it.
