Q. I have been so depressed... do you think I should consider getting on an antidepressant? I have been resistant so far but I just can't seem to get out of this pit of despair.. it has been 4 years of this mlc...

A.   Talk openly and honestly with your counselor and medical doctor about it. We are as much "chemical" as we are spiritual, emotional and relational. We all eat everyday because we need the "chemicals" to function. There are times when our bodies do not produce the chemicals we need to maintain sound emotional health and medication can be of help in these instances. I would neither rush into it nor avoid it but it is worth talking about with your health care professionals.
