Swan: Little Magpie - Are you still seeing the counselor? Does she have any recommendations for how to reduce stress. Sometimes getting a good workout, taking a long calming walk or putting on Christian music and doing something that relaxes you. I know you cannot control the others and they will do what they will, but at least you might be able to reduce you stress leaves.

Little Magpie: Swan- I just started with a new one and yes, my Anxiety and PTSD are high points on what we are going to be focusing on and making friends.

August 22, 2018 / Wednesday Chat with Bill

Swan: Hello everyone, welcome to Wednesday evening chat.

Swan: Hi Little Magpie - How have you been this week?

Little Magpie: Good evening all

Little Magpie: Swan it's been rough. My YD leaves for school this weekend. High anxiety and short tempers

Little Magpie: Swan - you?

Little Magpie: Bill - good evening

Bill: Little Magpie and Swan: Hi folks.

Little Magpie: Bill- how are you? Is your dad doing well?

Swan: Little Magpie - Sorry for the anxiety and short tempers, unfortunately that often happens when there is stress. I remember my husband would get explosive when there was pressure on him and considering his job that seems to be always. For the most part the kids and I would just try to stay out of his way, but more than not, he needed to explode so he could get the stress out, if that makes any sense. He would be calm and sorry after, but to be honest, I really hated his process of working through pressure.

Little Magpie: all- exciting thing this week is we sampled wedding cake cupcakes and cake pops for my ED next June

Bill: Little Magpie: My parents are doing well at the moment (they are definitely 89 but they are in a good rhythm right now.)

Swan: Little Magpie - my grandson is a senior in high school this year and just that is causing the reality of his not living here soon. He is getting all kinds of college information and that is really putting it in our faces. He says he wants to stay local for at least the first couple years, but we will see if that changes as he gets closer to graduating.

Swan: Hi Bill

Bill: Little Magpie: Cool on the cupcakes and cake pops~

Swan: Little Magpie - I love some of the cakes that can be made out of cupcakes and then everyone can have an individual cake, no one has to stand and cut the cake and serve it, usually it becomes a take one and go. Even at a really formal event, it is fun and less stress for the host.

Little Magpie: Bill- My daughter’s fiancé has a cousin who made them and brought them to their family reunion last weekend. Our d brought a sample home and we all tasted as a family.

Bill: LM: Good stuff. It sounds like her fiancé and his family are good folks.

Little Magpie: Swan- exactly

Bill: All: It makes me wonder why cupcakes didn't become popular a long time ago!

Sometimes getting a good workout, taking a long calming walk or putting on Christian music and doing something that relaxes you. Little Magpie: Swan- I just started with a new one and yes, my Anxiety and PTSD are high points on what we are going to be focusing on and making friends.

Swan: I remember when my kids were in school and they would have bake sales or treat days, so many of the parents would offer to bring ice cream cups, cookies or make a sheet cake, but most didn't want to deal with cupcakes because you have to decorate/frost each one. I always opted for cupcakes, they were easier to me and I didn't get all fancy, usually just piped some frosting on them and then might add a candy or something simple.

Swan: Little Magpie - You work outside the home, correct? Even for people that don't really have "friends", often the interaction at a job can help in socialization benefits.

Bill: sorry. My internet has been glitchy. Supposed to have the technicians out sometime this week to install a new line. The tech gremlins are running active.

Bill: Little Magpie: The strategy with this new counselor sounds good.

Little Magpie: Swan- I agree with ease of cupcakes. I made them when I was in HS all the time for bake sales. Swan, I do but it isn't conducive to being real or connection. It is conducive to being surface and acquaintances.

Little Magpie: Bill- sorry about the gremlins. Have you been writing or speaking a lot?

Little Magpie: Swan- how is Hoping in Him? Buttons? Dumbfounded??

Bill: Little Magpie: Speaking a lot. Working on content for the new website. Getting caught up - August tends to be a slower month so we use it catch up on the stuff that gets behind.

Swan: Little Magpie - How is dad dealing with his daughter heading off to school?

Swan: Little Magpie - buttons was in chat last night, she is doing ok. HopininHim was in chat last week, still having issues with her son, but is good in other things. I haven't really seen Dumbfounded recently so I cannot say how she is.

Little Magpie: Swan- he is a bit nervous as he won't be taking her to her new accommodation. She is in a new place that we just found out about last week. At least she finally has a place.

Bill: All: I am going to head out. I will be praying for your D's Little Magpie and trusting that your new counselor will be an answer to prayer. Blessings.

Swan: Night Bill, see you next week

Little Magpie: Bill - Thank you! Good night

Little Magpie: Swan - How are you doing?

Swan: Little Magpie - I am doing good, staying busy, tired some days but in good health and have peace, so it is all good

Little Magpie: Swan- That is great! I'm going to sign out. Have a blessed week and Thank you!!

Swan: I am going to head out as well, have to get dinner started, the family will be home soon

Little Magpie: night
