Swan: Bill - How are Jim and Jan, when I see anything on facebook or email, they seem to be doing great. They are a sweet couple, I am so glad they found each other.

Bill: Swan: We need to be praying for him. He had a minor stroke earlier this year and had a fall from the roof/ladder. He is doing ok but he has moments when he is not quite himself.

June 14, 2017 / Wednesday Chat with Bill

Swan: Hello all

Bill: Good evening. Sorry I was a bit late tonight.

Swan: Bill - it has been quiet so far.

Bill: Swan: Ok. We will see how it goes.

Bill: Swan: Pam and I had the opportunity to speak in Jim and Jan Conway's church on Sunday. It was great to see Jim.

Swan: You had such a great conversation with tos last week, I was hoping he would come into some of the other chats, but he didn't.

Swan: Bill - Will definitely keep him in prayer.

Swan: Bill - Also if you would add Brin to your prayers, she is having surgery tomorrow for her breast reconstruction after the cancer.

Swan: Hi Little Magpie

Little Magpie: Hello Swan and Bill

Little Magpie: Bill - exciting that you were able to catch up with Jim and Jan.

Bill: Swan: Jim and Jan are a great fit for each other. They both love Jesus, love missions, love offering real help to people. I am inspired every time I see them. I had a couple of great interactions with Jim so although he is struggling some he is still the influential Jim I have grown to love.

Bill: Hi Little Magpie

Bill: Swan: I will be praying for Brin. Thanks for the update.

Little Magpie: Swan - I will pray for Brin too.

Swan: Little Magpie - she will appreciate that, she is alone in this given that her husband has moved out and is filing for divorce and there is some fear which is understandable.

Little Magpie: All - life takes so many twists and turns. Last week we were praying for my mother and her fall, this week, my MIL had a fall and ended up in surgery. Unfortunately she entered the hospital at 3:30 am and her surgery didn't come off until 7:30 pm. She ended up with a rod in her leg. She now has hardware in both arms and now her leg, not fun

Swan: Bill - I wanted to also share that prayers are being answered for Beth, there has been a lot rumor about her husband's burial and most of it was against his wishes, well she got a call from the horse's mouth (the other woman) and the rumors are false, his wishes are being upheld. The other woman even told her that her husband knew how much she loved him and he loved her too and with his being buried where Beth is, she knows that Beth will tend to his grave. A call out of the blue from an unexpected source answered so many concerns and questions Beth had, had to be God lead.

Bill: Little Magpie: Oh my. One of our favorite sayings is "Life gets in the way of living" because it seems to be the only thing that helps make sense of seasons like this.

Swan: Little Magpie - Ouch. Definitely many twists and turns!

Bill: Swan: Thank you for that. It is certainly awkward but welcome news for Beth.

Bill: Little Magpie: Do you two have any care taking responsibilities with your MIL?

Little Magpie: Bill - Not at the moment. Monday was Graduation so I was off and I had yesterday off to recuperate so was called on to bring her some reading material. My Eldest D had been spending time with her since she is still between jobs. I did take her to a couple of Dr. Appts. We were very pleased that my Mom made it to Graduation. Last Wed. she had two Emergency visits, 1 was the initial and 2nd was to get staples put in her head as it was bleeding again. She is supposed to go to a rehab center after the hospital since both arms are out of commission and she can't really do a walker because of the arm pressure. Actually they both aren't out of commission but both are impaired and one is still recovering from May surgery

Bill: Little Magpie: I am glad to hear you are not the main care taker. It is emotionally exhausting when a family member suffers but at least you don't have to spend enormous amounts of time and energy physically taking care of them.

Little Magpie: Bill - She lost strength in her leg last Thursday and my H had to leave work early and grab a wheel chair from a Senior Center for her to borrow. So thru the weekend I was worried about both my mom's and Graduation that was pending

Bill: Little Magpie: It is amazing to me how compassionate your family is. I am not sure it always comes out in significant interaction but it sure shows in the way you are willing to serve others.

Little Magpie: Bill - Thurs she went to the Doctor but he didn't really look into what was going on. We were very upset and then even after we requested a different surgeon, they had him operate.

Bill: Little Magpie: Who is the "they" in "they had him operate?"

Little Magpie: Bill - she was transferring from the bed to the wheel chair with a walker and the walker was a little too far from her

Bill: Little Magpie: How was graduation? Is your D excited about the next phase of her life?

Little Magpie: Bill - The Hospital, The Ortho department?? I was at Graduation.

Bill: Little Magpie: Ok, thanks for that.

Little Magpie: Bill - Grad was really nice. I have some photos on FB. She is excited and I am busy trying to get answers to the millions of questions we still have.

Bill: Little Magpie: With my dad in the current state he is in, I can clearly see the fall as she transferred from the wheel chair to the walker.

Bill: Little Magpie: That is awesome that graduation went well. It is an important milestone.

Little Magpie: Bill - she has become friends with a gal from you and Swan's neck of the woods thru Wattpad an internet writing group and the came to Graduation with her sister. Come to find out they have an Aunt in our town.

Bill: Little Magpie: Wow, that is cool about D and her friend. Sounds like they share a love for writing.

Little Magpie: Bill - they do seem to have fun. I have listened to them Skype a few times. The girl from your area is a year older than my d but her sister seems to be pretty close in age too.

Little Magpie: All - Hope you have a Wonderful Week. I will keep Brin and Beth in prayer. Bill - Hope we can plan a time to get together in the next year. I have to use my vacation to take my d to school so doubt we can plan anything this year.

Little Magpie: Bill - we really miss our visits with you and Pam

Bill: Little Magpie: I am excited you get to travel with your D to her new school. I know it is a long way from home but I suspect it will be a great growing time for her.

Little Magpie: Thank you. I am scared but I am excited for her at the same time.

Little Magpie: Swan - Hope you are having a very blessed week. Please greet everyone from me.

Bill: Little Magpie: Things are going well. Looking forward to Father's Day weekend. I will get to see my Parents, my sister and my brother. I will share your greeting with Pam.

Swan: Little Magpie – Thanks, you have a great week as well.

Little Magpie: Bill - Have a Wonderful Father's Day! I had forgotten it was coming up so soon. Need to remind my d's

Little Magpie: Bill - Thanks for greeting Pam.

Bill: Little Magpie: give my best to your parents, kids, and H. Wish your H a happy father’s day for me.

Little Magpie: All - Good Night. Thank you will do.

Swan: Bill - How are Jim and Jan, when I see anything on facebook or email, they seem to be doing great. They are a sweet couple, I am so glad they found each other.
